The New Jersey Choral Society (NJCS) invites singers with choral experience and strong sight-reading skills to join the passion, excellence and imagination of this musical community. Auditions for all voice parts will be held by appointment on Tuesday, January 15 and Tuesday, January 22.
NJCS is an ensemble of singers joined by their commitment to performing concerts of the highest artistic quality and enhancing the appreciation and enjoyment of choral music among members and audiences alike. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor, Eric Dale Knapp, NJCS performs in Bergen and Essex counties. The musical journey of the 2018-2019 season features several works commemorating Leonard Bernstein at 100, with remaining performances taking place in March and June, and includes the opportunity to join an exciting Summer 2019 tour to Paris and Berlin.
Audition requirements include performance of a prepared solo, pitch memory drills, scales, intervals, and sight-reading. Auditions will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, 169 Fairmount Road, Ridgewood, NJ. Appointments are available from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
