Long Island Chinese American choir welcomes new members

January 11, 2016 by Conrad Chu Leave a Comment

The Long Island Consort, a predominantly Chinese American mixed choir based in Little Neck, Queens, is inviting new members to join us as we prepare for our spring concert coming in April.  Singers of all abilities and voice ranges are welcome, and no prior choral experience is assumed. Non-Chinese singers who are interested in Chinese music are also encouraged to join.
The Consort is one of the oldest Chinese amateur choirs in the New York City area, and has performed at top venues both in New York and Europe.
Its repertoire combines the best of Chinese and western classical and pop choral music in a unique blend of traditions.  Our mission is to promote cross-cultural friendship and understanding through our concerts, particularly in the Chinese-speaking communities of Chinatown, Flushing and Long Island.

Rehearsals are held twice monthly on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 to 10:00 PM.
We meet at Harvest Church of Little Neck, at 54-47 Little Neck Parkway, close to the Long Island Expressway.
Come try a rehearsal with us!

For further information about joining, please contact Music Director Conrad Chu at or call 917-533-9348.
To inquire in Mandarin, please contact Renee Liu at 516-375-8698.
