LancasterChorale AUDITIONS
Auditions for LancasterChorale are held during the months of June and July (see dates on our website). In addition, new singers may request an individual time throughout the year. The majority of artists in LancasterChorale have earned degrees in Music; all have extensive experience in choral performance in a variety of styles and languages.
WHAT KIND OF SINGER ARTIST DOES LancasterChorale ENGAGE?
LancasterChorale has a long tradition of cultivating a gentler, non-operatic choral sound. Sopranos and altos often perform with little or no vibrato. Tenors and basses are resonant, lyric, and colorful but not heavy. Countertenors are encouraged to audition.
