Lacuna Arts (San Francisco, CA) is auditioning singers of all voice parts and levels for our January–May concert set (full schedule at www.LacunaArts.org).
Our 24-32 voice a cappella chorus is primarily composed of intermediate to advanced amateur singers. We frequently sing music for SSAATTBB and double-choir, such as the Rheinberger Mass in E-flat and the Howells Requiem. We will also sing secular partsongs by Britten, Finzi, and Schoenberg.
The January audition is what we call a “community” audition, as opposed to individual auditions (which are held in August). New members will have the opportunity to sing in small groups along with our current members in order to find the best fit for our ensemble. It also gives you the chance to try US out.
Auditions are January 11th, 2016 from 6:30–9:30 at 2325 Union Street (enter Steiner Street “Pixley House). Please let us know you are coming by filling out the sign-up form at www.LacunaArts.org
