Good Singers – who can sing in-tune – wanted for ALL voice parts

August 20, 2016 by Michael Kevane Leave a Comment

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church of Lambertville NJ (Near New Hope and Doylestown, PA, and Princeton, NJ) is currently seeking volunteer singers for all voice parts – Sop I & II, Alto I & II, Countertenor, Tenor, Baritone and Bass, falsettists are also encouraged (Males who sing Soprano).

– Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings 7:45pm to 9:45pm.

– Sunday Services: 9am rehearsal, 9:30 service (only 1 service)

– One Choral Evensong per month on Sunday afternoon (most months, on the first Sunday of the month at about 4pm)

The choir sings serious, high quality, art literature with an Anglican bias. Prospective members are expected to have excellent intonation and either be excellent sight readers or work ahead on literature so as to be prepared for rehearsal (all literature will be available ahead of time). This would be a great opportunity for gifted, hard workers who may not be the best readers. Many solo opportunities exist for all voice parts for solo quality voices, especially women who sound like boy sopranos or altos. Please let us know if you are interested in these type of solos.

Our choir is perfectly balanced now on all voice parts, so, as a consequence, we are now open to all volunteers on all voice parts by audition only. Please let us know if you are looking for a very advanced and transforming musical and spiritual experience – we welcome that. Most likely, we can take to you to a place you have never been before. Our selections are world class.

This choir is at once serious about its task and very friendly (and a tad naughty). We have fun.
