Glen Ridge Choral Society (NJ) Seeking new singers

August 25, 2022 by Thomas Mustachio Leave a Comment

This enthusiastic community chorus of 40-45 members is dedicated to performing great choral music. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 8 to 9 PM in Glen Ridge, NJ, located about 20 minutes west of Manhattan, in Essex County. Rehearsals take place at the Glen Ridge Congregational Church, 195 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ. First Rehearsal of the 2022-23 season is Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. in the Blue Room. We will begin with a time for snacks and socializing. Enter through the side door on Clark Street.

Concert opportunities for 2022-2023 include:
• Sunday, October 30, 10 AM: Howard Goodall’s “Eternal Light: A Requiem” with chamber orchestra
• December 11, 3 PM: “Welcome Christmas!” – our annual holiday concert and carol sing with brass, harp, handbells and percussion
• Sunday, May 21, 2023, 3PM: “A Disney Spectacular – Celebrating 100 years of Magic” with chamber orchestra

We welcome new members in all voice parts. While we hold no formal auditions, previous choral experience and an ability to read music are highly desirable. Contact director Thomas Mustachio at .
