First annual Conductors’ Collective at Escalante Summer Retreat and Conducting Institute – July 2020

September 4, 2019 by ksj202 Leave a Comment

The Conductors’ Collective at Escalante is thrilled to announce our first annual Retreat, an intensive summer conducting institute for conductors and teachers of any level of experience or professional trajectory.

Choral conductors can join us in Boulder, Utah, deep within southern Utah’s stunning red rock canyon country, from July 6–11, 2020. Instrumental conductors, from July 13–18.

Conductors from anywhere in the region, country, or world are welcome.

Please follow us on Facebook/Instagram (@cc.at.escalante), visit ccescalante.com, or email for more information.

Cornerstones of our program:
– An unparalleled 4:1 student-to clinician ratio, with two cumulative hours of guaranteed podium time in private lessons and seminars for each participant.
– Lectures, workshops, and discussions with our world-class faculty on topics such as movement fundamentals, score study, rehearsal, self-care and mental health, and advocacy for our art.
– A true refuge amongst the red rock in which participants may immerse themselves and escape from the noise of the world to practice their craft.

Applications open December 1 and are due March 1.

Conducting is for the adventurous; are you ready for the adventure?
