Chicago-based Early Music ensemble seeks Tenors and Basses!

The Marion Consort, a Chicago-based early music ensemble is seeking TENORS & BASSES to join our small ensemble for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. Now entering its 9th season, The Marion Consort specializes in Medieval and Renaissance polyphony, presenting concerts that promote and preserve early a cappella vocal music.

Auditions will be held Thursday, August 16th to Saturday, August 18th. Callbacks will be Sunday, August 19th.

Singers interested in auditioning should have…
-healthy tone, good intonation, good musicianship skills
-a background in singing 1 or 2 to a part
-an interest in Medieval and Renaissance music (you don’t need to be an expert!)
-an interest in working in a collaborative environment
-availability on Sunday evenings for rehearsal
-ability to commit to 3 or 4 concerts in the season

The Marion Consort is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.
This position is unpaid, but will include a covered trip to perform in Austin, Texas.
