Caritas Vocal Ensemble

Caritas Vocal Ensemble performs benefit concerts that raise money for local non-profit organizations that provide human services. For the last 14 years, the singers have raised over $150,000 for others.

Caritas Vocal Ensemble is a small, collaborative a cappella group. Pieces are chosen collectively and all members contribute their ideas for musical interpretation during rehearsals. Selections are made from a wide range of vocal genres: madrigals, jazz, pop and classical.

All Voices: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass
Audition Prep: Please perform a short piece a cappella – anything from a simple hymn or folk tune, to a prepared art song – plus some sight reading and blending.

Caritas rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 in south Minneapolis. Concerts are scheduled (mostly) on Sunday afternoons during the months of Feb, March, April and May each year. No summer rehearsals. Visit www.caritasvocalensemble.org or call 608-417-9707 for more information.
