Brattleboro (VT) Concert Choir seeks new singers for 2023-24 season

July 27, 2023 by Jonathan Harvey Leave a Comment

The Brattleboro Concert Choir’s 2023-24 season is coming, and it’s going to be a thrilling one! We hope you will be interested in joining us.

The Concert Choir rehearses 7-9 pm on Wednesday evenings at the Brattleboro Music Center in Brattleboro VT, and is currently seeking new members of every voice part for the upcoming season. We especially invite BIPOC singers and singers of all gender identities to join.

Starting September 6, the Brattleboro Concert Choir will be preparing “Songs For The People,” a program of music by living composers speaking to issues of our time, including immigration, civil rights, climate change, and global conflict. Composers include Eric Whitacre, Ysaye Barnwell, Frank Ticheli, Joel Thompson, Mari Esabel Valverde, Melissa Dunphy, B.E. Boykin, Sydney Guillaume, and J. AndrĂ©s Ballesteros. The Concert Choir will perform “Songs For The People” at the Latchis Theatre in downtown Brattleboro January 13-14, 2024.

To schedule a low-pressure placement hearing with Music Director Jonathan Harvey, or to ask any questions, contact the Brattleboro Music Center at or (802) 257-4523.
