The Boston Symphony Chorus invites audiences to experience the timeless majesty of Handel’s Messiah, paired with a collection of uplifting American spirituals. The performance will be conducted by music director Jonathan Pierce on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. For more information, contact the Boston Symphony Chorus at 617-555-2048 or .

Handel’s Messiah, first performed in Dublin in 1742, remains one of the most beloved choral masterpieces. With its soaring “Hallelujah” chorus and deeply moving arias, it continues to draw audiences worldwide every holiday season.

This special evening will also highlight traditional American spirituals arranged for choir, including Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Soon Ah Will Be Done. Featured soloists include soprano Emily Rivera, tenor James Whitfield, and bass Marcus Green.

Tickets are $25 and are available online at bostonsymphonychorus.org/tickets or at Porter Square Books in Cambridge. They may also be purchased at the door starting 30 minutes prior to the concert.
