AUDITIONS
31st Concert Season, 2019-20

The South Bend Chamber Singers, Michiana’s premier vocal chamber ensemble,
announce auditions for experienced singers.

Concerts for the coming year include our always popular Christmas at Loretto on December 17 and 22, showcasing new music for the season in both South Haven, MI and South Bend, IN, and featuring the world premiere of a new work by
Carolyn Pirtle. On March 29, we present Ashes of Roses, featuring Requiems by Jocelyn Hagen and Maurice Duruflé, with David Eicher, organist, and special guests, the Saint Mary’s College Women’s Choir. Our season closes on May 31 with Day Is Done: Choral Reflections on War with guitarist Daniel Quinn. In addition, the SBCS will sing the Mahler Symphony No. 2 with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra on April 4 under Maestro Alastair Willis.

Auditions will be held August 25-30 in Room 309 Moreau Center for the Arts on the Saint Mary’s College campus. Singers should bring a prepared solo, and sight-reading and aural abilities will be tested. An accompanist is provided.

Please call 284-4632 or 233-6927 to schedule an audition time.
