The William Baker Festival Singers is a 50 voice volunteer chorale created in 1998 and comprised principally of music professionals. The chorus specializes in sacred a cappella classics, folk music and spirituals, and presents an annual masterworks concert with members of the Kansas City Symphony. These performances have included Bach: Mass in B minor & St. Matthew Passion, Mozart: Great Mass in C minor, Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem, and many others. The Festival Singers has performed in significant venues across the nation, including the Washington National Cathedral, Trinity Wall Street Church, St. James Cathedral in Chicago, Helzberg Hall in Kansas City, St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, and the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis. The chorus has produced two dozen recordings and been featured in numerous broadcasts.
