Audition for William Baker Festival Singers

July 20, 2018 by wbakerfestivalsingers-org Leave a Comment

The William Baker Festival Singers is a 50-voice semi-professional ensemble specializing in short form sacred a cappella classics, modern works and religious folk music and spirituals from across the globe, in addition to an annual choral/orchestral masterwok. There are limited openings in all sections. Auditions are on-going through August, or until all positions are filled.

The 2018-2019 (21st) concert season will include performances at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, “Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral” in Kansas City’s magnificent cathedral churches, a performance of Buxtehude’s MEMBRE JESU NOSTRI with chamber orchestra, the premier of works by Composer-in-Residence Ed Frazier Davis, and local performances in outstanding venues in Kansas and Missouri. The Festival Singers have produced numerous recordings and have been heard frequently in broadcast, including NPR’s “Performance Today.”

Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:30, in Mission, Kansas, convenient to all parts of the KC metro.

For information, or to set an audition appointment, contact William Baker at or call 913-488-7524.
