Audition for The Stonewall Chorale

January 9, 2019 by newsstonewallchorale-org Leave a Comment

Auditions are held by appointment. Please e-mail us at

Auditioning is painless; if you can carry a tune, have a pleasant voice, have a knowledge of classical music notation, a congenial attitude and a willingness to work hard for a couple of hours a week in the West Village with like-minded people, the Stonewall Chorale may be for you!

The Stonewall Chorale is the nation’s first gay and lesbian chorus, though you don’t have to be gay to join! We are devoted to singing the great choral classics of the ages – from Medieval and Renaissance to Meredith Monk and Eric Whitacre. We love to sing and are committed to excellence…and we also have a lot of fun.

Singing with the Stonewall Chorale is a fabulous way to make new friends, explore beautiful music together and offer it back to the community. Tell us a little about yourself and we will contact you to arrange an audition.
