Our first hour is devoted to settings of the familiar Our Father prayer.
I selected 9 choral settings from the hundreds written and 2 settings for organ.
Felix Mendelssohn used the hymn tune Vater unser himmelreich (Our Father in Heaven)
in his 6th organ sonata, and, of course, Johann Sebastian Bach’s setting is simplicity itself.
