enlarged and expanded over the years. It now comprises over 874 stops
and 325 ranks. Anthony Piccolo is a native of New Jersey and a graduate
of Peabody Conservatory. Richard Marlow (1939-2013) was Director or Music
at Trinity College, Cambridge for 38 years.

The 2 manual 27 rank Metzler organ in St.Verena Münster was built
in 1972. Sir Arnold Bax (1883-1953) was an English composer whose
oeuvre straddled romanticism and impressionism. Robert Parsons (1535-1571)
may have been a teacher of the better known musician William Byrd. Britten’s “A
Hymn to the Virgin” is set to a macaronic text, that is, with English and Latin alternating.
