Truly amazing – The First Readings Project

May 24, 2014 by Ray Braswell Leave a Comment

I just returned from an amazing experience with David Moore and the First Readings Project.  Four times a year, David, along with an extremely talented group of musicians, provides an opportunity for choral composers come to Minneapolis to have their compositions performed.  The level of musicianship of the choir members is phenomenal and I was moved by the performances and the interaction David, the choir members, the accompanist (and even the audience) provided to each composer.

Only a select number of compositions are performed at each concert which allows for a great deal of interaction between the composer and the musicians.

If you wish to have your composition performed and recorded by a truly professional group, I highly recommend the First Readings Project.  It was a phenomenal experience.

Submissions for the First Readings Project are due on July 1, 2014 at 12:00 noon, CST.
