Tottenham Community Choir wins cash boost in public vote

TOTTENHAM, UK — A TOTTENHAM choir has won £6,000 towards musical equipment after winning a public competition.

Tottenham Community Choir, which was formed two years ago, is made up of a diverse bunch of people from the borough and regularly performs at charity fucntions and public events such as Tottenham's Christmas lights switch-on last month.

Now the group haThe choir performed at this year's Harringay Food Festival.ve been awarded a £6,000 grant by the Natwest Community Force fund, which invited the public to vote for worthy community groups that should receive cash.

Choir member Lesley Moorse said that the group wanted to thank everyone who voted for them.

She said: “The award will buy much needed musical equipment which would further develop the talents and capacity of the choir who are all drawn from the local community.
