April 2nd 2012 marks the precise hundredth anniversary of Titanic, the ‘Ship of Dreams,’ sailing to Southampton out of Belfast Lough.
To commemorate this wonderful occasion, the Titanic Foundation have commissioned international composer Philip Stopford to write TITANIC VOYAGE, a short choral work for young voices, piano and solo instrument.

God himself could not sink this ship.
I cannot imagine any condition which would cause this ship to founder. I cannot conceive of any disaster that could happen to this vessel. Titanic, Titanic. Sail, Oh sail Titanic!

Philip Stopford came to Northern Ireland in 2003 to become Director of Music at St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast. Now, as a freelance composer and choral conductor, Philip has sold over 125,000 copies of his choral sheet music, and his music has featured on radio and television across the world. He has had over 1⁄2 million YouTube hits and has four CD albums of his own compositions.
