The Stonewall Chorale is holding auditions for our 47th season!
Rolling auditions are open now for our upcoming 47th season, which begins on Tuesday, September 5. We have openings in all parts, though we especially welcome tenor and bass voices. Our audition process is easy!
Here’s what you need to know about singing with the nation’s first LGBTQI+ choir!
- The Stonewall Chorale is an auditioned choir of about 50 voices. We are devoted to singing the great choral classics of the ages – from Medieval and Renaissance to Meredith Monk and Eric Whitacre, and love to showcase LGBTQI+ artists.
- Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 7-9:30 p.m. in the West Village.
- Our season concerts are on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Saturday, March 23, 2024, and Thursday, June 13, 2024, with smaller engagements scheduled throughout the season.
- We love to sing and are committed to excellence…and we also have a lot of fun.
How to audition
Interested singers are asked to submit a preliminary video of themselves singing a short song of their choice (cell phone is fine – anything that shows your voice at its best), which may be followed by a Zoom meeting to determine music skills.
Submissions may be emailed to by Sept 1, although we accept auditions on a rolling basis.
Now is a great time to sing with the Stonewall Chorale, make new friends and explore beautiful music together!
