The wreath of laurel leaves, coming from ancient Greek traditions, has long been used as a symbol for triumph and excellence. This is why it has become the name and logo of our choir festival Laurea Mundi Budapest.
But the laurel wreath can not only be seen as a metaphorical award for the winner of the special Grand Prix Competition created for champions of choral music. At our competitions – regardless if it’s the Open Competition or the Grand Prix – everyone is a winner, whether it is a winner of a category, a winner of a Gold, Silver or Bronze Diploma, a winner of a Certificate of Participation, or a winner of wonderful festival memories!
So, apply for the 6th International Choral Celebration and Laurea Mundi Budapest, and put on your already well-deserved laurel crown!
