I am very excited to announce the “pre-launch” of the Galant Masters Project!
The Galant Masters Project, scheduled to begin publication in Fall 2011, is a five-year project, intended to bring lost works of Galant-style liturgical music to light. The project will seek to edit and publish approximately one score per month, with four corresponding Compact Disc recordings per year. Funding for this project is being sought through subscriptions to our publications (print, recording, or both). Subscription fulfillment will be on a quarterly basis, with each mailing consisting of approximately three scores and a compact disc recording of the pieces included in the mailing, performed by the Chicago Galant Consort.
I would very much appreciate the opportunity to send ChoralNet users a sample score and recording of our recently completed edition of Francesco Durante’s Vespro breve. To request your copy, please send me a message via ChoralNet (click the envelope next to my name), drop an email message to info (a) galantmusic.com, or fill out the form on our web site: www.GalantMusic.com.
Thanks!
Tom
