The Creation: An Oratorio by F. Joseph Haydn

April 22, 2022 by Marcia Bliven Leave a Comment

May 1, 2022, GMChorale presents a very special concert of Franz Joseph Haydn’s late-classical masterpiece, “The Creation.” This oratorio celebrates the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis, the Biblical Book of Psalms, and in John Milton’s Paradise Lost. This concert is a true Connecticut collaboration where GMChorale joins forces with Alchemy, Elm City Girls’ Choir, Orchestra New England and internationally renowned Connecticut-trained soloists, Sherezade Panthaki, Dann Coakwell, and Mark Womack, for a monumental production not to be missed.

The concert will take place at 4:00pm at the Santo Fragilio Performing Arts Center at Middletown High School, 200 LaRosa Lane, in Middletown, Connecticut. COVID vaccinations and masks are required. To purchase your tickets, head to www.gmchorale.org/events.

GMChorale’s May 1, 2022 concert, “The Creation,” is presented with the generous support of the Middletown Commission on the Arts, The Community Foundation of Middlesex County, The State Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s Office of the Arts, and CT Humanities.

Middletown, Connecticut
