The Consortium You Won’t Want to Miss! Odes of Love (World Premieres)

October 20, 2025 by Santiago Veros, Composer Leave a Comment

Odes of Love — International Choral Consortium

A collaboration by Santiago Veros (Argentina), Julian Bryson (USA), and Giulio De Carlo (Italy)

Join the Odes of Love consortium — an international initiative with three new choral works that celebrate love and human connection. All three works are in progress. By joining, your choir becomes part of the world premiere of the complete triptych and is listed as a co-commissioner in every edition.

Why is it so hard to premiere a new work?

Premiering a new choral piece often feels like an odyssey. It starts with a meeting, then comes a four-digit number, a trip to the finance office, and endless pleading for budget approval. You justify the project again and again, prepare documents, defend it at a board meeting, fight for it with all your energy, and when the green light finally arrives, you are already exhausted — and only just at the starting line.

Then comes the next part: the piece is beautiful, yes, but suddenly everything else has to stop because the choir is facing an almost impossible challenge. What began as excitement slowly turns into fatigue.

That is why these premieres rarely happen. Many conductors dream of leaving their mark, yet end up choosing safe repertoire. Not because they lack passion, but because the system made it hard. Odes of Love was created to change that: a shared path to a meaningful world premiere, with community, clear materials, and music that feels profound yet approachable.

First two stanzas of the poem:

Odes of love when you close your eyes
and hear the ocean’s roar
When the sand breathes under your feet
When your hope makes the air bloom.

Odes of love when your fingers dream
and warmth unfolds like light
When the sun sets deep in your heart
When the night sings you home again.
