FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Pennsbury sophomore Jackie Moruzzi found herself doing some double-takes during her choral group’s recent trip to Europe.
“We were very much alike,” Jackie, 16, said of the musicians that the Pennsbury choir performed with in Leipzig, Germany. The German musicians are members of the Leipzig Youth Orchestra and the Amici Musicae adult choir.
“It was like, if I didn’t know otherwise, I could see where they might have gone to Pennsbury themselves. Their English was great. It was like being at home,” Jackie said.
About 55 Pennsbury High School students traveled to Europe in mid-February to perform with the German music groups at the famed Gewandhaus concert hall in Leipzig. The students stayed with host families during their visit to Leipzig.
