Stuart McIntosh

If you are an ambitious choir, I would like to recommend two of pieces my recent pieces for your consideration.

The First – The Blessing of Light – was commissioned by The Church of the Holy Communion in St Louis, Mo. and first performed there in May 2016. It’s a setting of an unusual Irish Blessing for Choir accompanied by Violin, Viola and Organ.

The Second – Requiem – was composed in 2012 and has yet to receive a full premiere. Several movements were performed in 2014 in England. It is a setting of the Requiem Mass for the Dead with several other poetic texts intertwined. The Requiem is scored for Soprano and Baritone Solo, SATB and String Orchestra.
