The American Choral Directors Association is pleased to introduce the choirs that will perform the latest work in the Raymond R. Brock Memorial Choral Composition Series, “Distance Can’t Keep Us Two Apart,” by Chen Yi.
“We are delighted both by this exciting  and that these fine choirs are presenting the initial performance at our Divisional Conferences,” said ACDA Executive Director Tim Sharp. “We appreciate Professor Yi and these performers collaborating in this way.”
The seven premiere performances include:
Central Division: Southern Illinois University-Carbondale Concert Choir, Susan Davenport, Conductor
Southern Division: Festival Singers of Florida, Kevin Fenton, Conductor
Eastern Division: Montclair State University Singers, Heather Buchanan, Conductor
North Central Division: Clerestory, San Francisco, CA
Northwestern Division: TBA
Southwestern: Arlington Master Chorale, Randy Jordan, Conductor
Western Division: Arizona State University Choir, Gregory Gentry, Conductor
