ECS Publishing Group is pleased to announce that Scott Foss will be joining the ECS team as consultant and editor. Foss has extensive experience as the concert choral editor for Hal Leonard and is a highly respected leader in the choral field. Foss will be working closely with Kenney Potter, editor of School and Concert Choral music, in developing new publications for the E. C. Schirmer Music and Galaxy Music imprints.
About Scott Foss
Scott Foss, known throughout the United States as a conductor and clinician of both sacred and secular choral music has just joined the staff at ECS as a consultant and choral editor. Previously, Scott was the classical and concert choral editor for Hal Leonard Publishing. In that role, he managed choral publications for G. Schirmer, Boosey & Hawkes, Mark Foster and the concert series of the parent company. Prior to this position, he was executive editor for Roger Dean Publishing Company for more than twenty years.
Mr. Foss served as Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church in Madison where he conducted the Senior Choir, Chamber Choir, Handbell Choir and the Brass Choir and coordinated the activities
of a variety of other musical organizations within the church. He has directed more than 30 musical theatre productions for Four Seasons Theatre, CTM-Madison Family Theatre, Madison Repertory Theatre and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Theatre Department.

Mr Foss learned the music industry end of the music profession at Ward Brodt Music Company where he was choral music manager and general manager of the sheet music department for 11 years. In that role, he nurtured the sheet music department into one of the largest and most respected operations in the country. Scott was the director of the Wisconsin Singers on the UW-Madison campus for 13 years.
Scott studied conducting with legendary conductors Robert Fountain and Larry Doebler at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and music education with Eunice Meske.
