Robert De Cormier & Pete Seeger – Kickstarter

Legendary choral conductor and arranger Robert De Cormier – now 93 years old and going strong – met Pete Seeger in 1946. The two were close colleagues and friends for decades. Both shared a dedication to making music that brings people together.

 

When Pete died last year, Robert’s professional ensemble Counterpoint performed several new choral arrangement of Pete’s songs at the memorial concert in Burlington, Vermont. This was an amazing experience and led to a plan to record a full album of Robert’s choral arrangements of Pete’s songs, to make them available to new generations of singers and listeners.
