Requiem Novum for Soprano, Choir and Orchestra (or Organ)

November 3, 2023 by Mårten Jansson Leave a Comment

ALL HALLOWS IS HERE!

And, just in time to start programming for next year, Walton Music releases the full score of my Requiem Novum! Order here: https://www.giamusic.com/store/resource/requiem-novum-full-orchestra-score-printed-music-ww1941a

It’s a 50 minutes work for Soprano soloist, Choir and Orchestra that includes the traditional Latin texts with brilliant new additional English texts by Charles Anthony Silvestri. Texts that let us know what the departed experiences on the other side of the veil.

You can hear Requiem Novum performed live coming Sunday, the 5th November, in Kungsholms kyrka, Stockholm and in St. John Lutheran Church in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, on the 19th November.  It is also always available on most streaming services including Spotify. Listen here: https://open.spotify.com/album/1h3cfVwZ1AmCWEGxww9LlB?si=yoXGllq5QHSanJadiiqauw&nd=1

See Barnaby Smith performing the Sanctus movement with VOCES8 Foundation Choir and the Philharmonia here: https://www.facebook.com/VOCES8/videos/507327414320830/

With all the best wishes for the weekend

Mårten Jansson

PS

Requiem Novum also exists in a version for Soprano soloist, Choir and Organ, also published by Walton Music…
