Renaissance Men: RenMen Laments Now Available Pre-Order

January 21, 2019 by Eric Perry Leave a Comment

Renaissance Men, New England’s professional male vocal chamber ensemble, is proud to announce that our debut record, RenMen Laments, is now available for pre-order on Amazon, Naxos, and other online distributors. The record will be officially released on the Navona Records label on February 8, 2019.

RenMen Laments is “an exploration into the valleys of the soul” featuring works by Pablo Casals, Patricia Van Ness, Darius Milhaud, Thomas Tallis’s monumental “Lamentations of Jeremiah” in a new 10-voice arrangement, and the world premiere recording of Daniel E. Gawthrop’s “The Promises of Isaiah the Prophet,” a multi-movement work for men’s voices, commissioned by Renaissance Men.

“Laments” was recorded and produced by Grammy-award winning producer and vocal engineer Chris Sclafani (Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran), and mastered by Christian Amonson (Arts Laureate).

Renaissance Men was formed in 2014 and has since been featured in concerts at the Isabella Stewart Garden Museum, Connecticut Early Music Festival, and as headlining artists during the 2018 National Convention of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Men’s National Music Fraternity in New Orleans, Louisiana.
