Today I’m featuring a work commissioned for the National Lutheran Choir which was included in their most recent album, “The Caged Bird Sings”. Hope and Quietly Wait combines elements of Thad Fiscella’s beautiful “Ivory Hymn” for piano with texts from Romans and Lamentations. “A moving original composition written as a piece of comfort and solace in recognition of those suffering from dementia. The text from Romans 8 and Lamentations 3 expresses a deep and quiet faith.”
To listen to a recording, see a perusal score, or order copies, please visit Morningstar’s page here. To see a video about the commissioner, the work, and its impact, click here. Thank you for supporting my music and, hopefully, adding to your programming in the process!

Paul, congratulations on this exquisite setting of hope and deep faith… I will most definitely be using this with my choir.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and I’m so glad you’ve connected with the piece! Let me know if and when you program it and maybe we can find a time to skype together during a rehearsal.
Talk soon,
Paul
