Performance of ‘Tis You by Virginia Women’s Chorus 4/7/17

April 1, 2018 by Judith Shatin Leave a Comment

KaeRenae Mitchell conducts the Virginia Women’s Chorus in their program Songs of Glad Tidings on Sat, 4/7 at 4:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville. They will perform the SSA + piano version of Tis You, my setting of the beautiful poem Listening by Amy Lowell. It was premiered by the Voorhees Choir and their director, Brandon Williams, who commissioned it for the centennial of my alma mater, Douglass College and presented the version for SSA + string quartet and piano. So pleased it will be performed here as well!
