Palo Alto-based choral group helping Japan through music

PALO ALTO — A local Japanese choral group that practices at
Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Palo Alto has made a YouTube
video to muster aid, raise awareness and bring comfort to the
tragedy-stricken people of Japan.

The Choral Cosmos’s roughly 4.5-minute video features the group
performing “We Are the World.” The group decided to create the
video to encourage people to pray and make donations for Japan,
member Kenji Nakai said.

“It is very simple yet very strong motivation for us (as a)
singing group. My wish is that the real professional musicians
start ‘We Are the World 2011 Japan’ and make a big
donation/support,” he said.
