It’s a school song for single line singing but with an optional descant in the last third and piano accompaniment.
The song compares “our” school to iconic buildings around the world, and is designed to encourage positive feelings about the school building itself and all that goes on inside it. It was originally composed for a primary (4-11 year olds) school in Sunderland in the north-east of England, but has been adapted for use in other schools in other regions and countries by the substitution of one or other of the buildings for some more local to the school concerned. It has been adopted as a school song or an assembly song.
Here is a link to the story of the song and the commentary that went with the first performance. This commentary outlines the reasons why each of the iconic buildings is like the school.

Hope you enjoy the song!
