Open Rehearsals for Choral Art Society of the South Shore Spring 2015 Season

December 18, 2014 by Marie Schlag Leave a Comment

Now in its 56th season, Choral Art Society of the South Shore is holding open rehearsals on Tuesday, January 13th and January 20th at 7:30 – 9:30pm at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate.  New members are welcome to join us.  We suggest you arrive at 7:15 to meet and greet, get your music, etc. We are a non-auditioned community chorus. We need voices for all parts – soprano, alto, tenor, and bass.  The ability to read music is not essential, but is helpful.  You do need to be able to “carry a tune in a bucket”.

On Sunday, May 3rd at 4 PM we will perform Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and Puccini’s Mass for Four Voices at Scituate High School. This year we are celebrating our conductor Danica A. Buckley’s 10th anniversary with Choral Art Society and are excited to be performing this uplifting music, accompanied by orchestra and professional soloists.

We are a very friendly group and love to sing. You will learn in rehearsals each week and audio files will be provided for each part for practice on your own.
