Open rehearsals 8-25, 9-1, 9-8 in Stow, MA (USA)

August 12, 2025 by Christina Kennedy Leave a Comment

The Sounds of Stow Chorus & Orchestra welcomes all area singers to our Open Rehearsals on Monday evenings August 25, September 1, and September 8th at First Parish Church in Stow, MA (353 Great Road), 7:00-9:15 p.m. Come as early as 6:30 to meet your fellow singers and our director.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, our season opens with “Timeless Tidings.” The chorus, accompanied by full orchestra and under the direction of Barbara Jones, will perform John Rutter’s Gloria! in celebration of his 80th birthday, as well as seasonal works by Vaughan Williams, Fauré, Bernstein, and Britten. Other concerts in this season will be Sunday, April 19, 2026 (Christopher Tin’s To Shiver the Sky) and Sunday, June 7, 2026 (“Sail Away: Songs from the Salt Sea”).

The Sounds of Stow Chorus is a friendly and welcoming group whose singers hail from 20+ towns in the Metrowest area and beyond. Membership is open to anyone who can match pitch, learn the music, and blend with the other voices. Artistic Director Barbara Jones and Assistant Artistic Director Christina Kennedy promote serious musicianship at weekly rehearsals that are lively, challenging, educational, and always fun! We hope to see you soon.
