Odes to Love: A Choral Consortium Julian Bryson, Giulio De Carlo & Santiago Veros

Three Brand-New Choral Works to Celebrate Love and Human Connection

Imagine this:

One day you receive a digital book with three brand-new scores, ready to be performed for the very first time in history. Three exclusive choral works — one fast, one moderate, and one slow — thoughtfully crafted to be easy to prepare, emotionally impactful for your audience, refreshing for your repertoire, and a tribute to the most powerful force we know: love.

The Story That Makes This Project Unique

One day, Jacksonville University announced the closure of its choral program. That could only mean one thing: our dear friend Julian Bryson was suddenly left without a job.

We immediately began thinking of ways to support him. He’s a remarkable composer, and we felt that choosing to write about love — even in difficult moments — was a powerful path forward. Love is, after all, the most precious value we have. It never fades, not even in the hardest times.

So, we decided to offer the world a digital book containing three new choral pieces — a gift of music meant to spread love and give choirs the opportunity to share that love with their audiences in the concerts to come.

As part of this experience, we’d love to invite choirs to think beyond the music itself. We dream of building long-term connections with the ensembles involved — through composer visits, residencies, workshops, or masterclasses. Not only to share and expand these pieces, but to keep growing a living, breathing choral community rooted in shared artistry and genuine human encounters.

This could be a unique opportunity for your choir: to premiere new music, enrich your next season, and take part in a story born from love and carried into the future.

What Will You Receive?

Three original choral works with exclusive performance rights for the 2025–2026 season. Each piece brings its own color, emotion, and pacing — together, they offer a well-rounded addition to any concert program:

  • Fire-Flowers, a vibrant, rhythmic piece by Julian Bryson (USA)
  • Twice in a Lifetime, a lyrical, moderate-tempo piece by Giulio De Carlo (Italy)
  • Down by the Salley Gardens, an intimate choral setting by Santiago Veros (Argentina)

All pieces are delivered in a high-quality, print-ready PDF with unified engraving and design standards. Each score will include a personal dedication to every participating choir and patron.

And one more thing:

for individual patrons, we’ve prepared something special — we’ll mail you a signed physical copy, autographed by all three composers.

A Story Worth Sharing

This isn’t just about adding repertoire — it’s about gaining a story you’ll be proud to tell in rehearsals, pre-concert talks, and conferences.

You might begin by saying, “Did you hear about the Jacksonville University program closing?” Then smile and add, “Well, something beautiful came out of it.” And from there, you can say: “We were part of that project — the music, the friendship, the love behind it… it was truly inspiring.”

With this music, you’ll have something powerful to perform — and something meaningful to share with the world.

Are you ready to be part of it?
