The following new Canasg titles can all be viewed and ordered online at www.canasg.com

My true love hath my heart    SATB

A wedding song based on lyrics by Elizabethan courtier Sir Philip Sidney, playing on the exchange of ‘his heart’ and ‘her heart’.  Easily adaptable for same sex weddings.  TBB and SAA versions available soon.

Dàn nan ròn (Fate song of the seals)  Treble voices, flute and cello obbligato

A marvelous set of three Gaelic songs, both echoing and playfully re-inventing tradition.  Music by Emily Doolittle, lyrics by Skye-based poet Rody Gorman.  MP3 pronunciation guide included.

Living in Love   SATB

Another great wedding song, music by Frances Cockburn setting words by 17th century American poet Ann Bradstreet.

I’ll tell me ma    SSAA

Jaunty arrangement by Frances Cockburn of the playground song about courtship, love and marriage.

Nobody knows the trouble I see   SSAAA

A beautiful and original arrangement of the well known spiritual by Paul Ayres, with floating harmonies and aleatoric sections.

Seven psalms from the Becker Psalter    SATB

Modern English paraphrases by Jennifer Bell of seven psalms from the Becker Psalter, in the original delightful arrangements by Heinrich Schütz.  Useful throughout the year.  More coming soon!

New Christmas pieces by Paul Ayres     SATB / flexible voicing

OK, it’s still a little early for Christmas, but we are very pleased to be publishing three Christmas pieces by up-and-coming British composer Paul Ayres.  We bring you his Gloucestershire Wassail, Yorkshire Wassail, and the rollicking I saw three ships.   All a lot of fun.

Check out these and other recommended titles at Canasg Music.
