New Edition for Treble Choirs

February 18, 2010 by Martin Banner Leave a Comment

I am proud to announce the publication of my newest edition, “Messa a 3” for SSA choir, strings and continuo by Giacomo Puccini “senior”, the great great grandfather of the famous opera composer of the same name, published by Hinshaw Music (HMB260). The work is divided into fifteen movements with a performance duration of ca. 27 minutes. This edition is based upon the autograph score located in the library of Istituto Musicale in Lucca, Italy. In addition to the vocal score, there is also available from the publisher an orchestral score and set of instrumental parts.

The year 2012 will see the 300th birthday of the first of five generations of Puccini family composers, and this new edition would be a wonderful way for treble choirs to celebrate the occasion.
