Psalm 150 by Craig Phillips
SATB and Organ; PPM01047; $2.80

Craig Phillips has become one of America’s most accomplished composers of sacred music. Here is a delightful setting of the great praise psalm with choir and organ. More advanced choirs will find this piece a gratifying challenge with its rhythmic playfulness and harmonic changes. A typically colorful organ part completes the wealth of delights awaiting the listener. This would serve well as an anthem in church as well as concert.

Cradle Song by Iain Quinn
SATB a capella; PPM00945; $2.10

On a text of poet William Blake, Iain Quinn takes the listener through a sweet spirit of thoughts and words, so descriptive of the infant Jesus. Using close harmony, Quinn creates a sound of mystery and tenderness in a lullaby with the melody mostly in the soprano. This piece would be a lovely addition to an Advent or Christmas carol service.
