This new album will be led by DCINY Artistic Director and Co-Founder Jonathan Griffith and recorded at legendary Abbey Road Studios with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the orchestral organization featured on the original 1959 recording. It will feature an international roster of singers and soloists from all over the world, including the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, soloists Penelope Shumate (Soprano), Claudia Chapa (Mezzo-Soprano), John McVeigh (Tenor), Christopher Job (Bass-Baritone) and the Jonathan Griffith Singers performing live, together in the same room, at historic Abbey Road Studios.
Unlike other popular recording methods of today, this new approach aims to capture the excitement, energy, and passion often conveyed to audience members in DCINY’s live concert performances. The recording date sessions will be July 29 – August 1, 2019.
DCINY invites you to join the journey of taking this classic, one-of-a-kind work from the 1950’s into the 21st century. It will be bigger, clearer, louder and in high-definition… totally re-imagined for the technology and listener of today
