NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES TWO GRANTS TO YOUNG PEOPLE’S CHORUS OF NEW YORK CITY

$60,000 Grant Will Support Radio Radiance™ and $38,000 Grant Supports YPC Partner Schools
 
May 18, 2011—[New York, NY]—Rocco Landesman, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, today announced that the Young People’s Chorus of New York City™ (YPC) has been recommended for a grant doubling its support for the second phase of YPC’s Radio Radiance partnership with American Public Media and a second grant to support YPC’s Partner Schools program.  The Young People’s Chorus of New York City is oneof 1,145 not-for-profit national, regional, state, and local organizations recommended for grants as part of the federal agency’s second round of fiscal year 2011 grants. In total, the Arts Endowment will distribute more than $88 million to support projects nationwide.
