Music director celebrates 50th year in same church

PRICE HILL, Ohio – St. Williams Parish in Price Hill is a
cornerstone in the community at 8th and Sunset. Now one of its
members will be recognized for his golden commitment to the parish,
its school and the community.

Dave Allen began as the director of music at the church in 1961
and has also taught at Seton and Elder High Schools.

“I am sure it is a rarity in these days, and in the history of
the Church,

to have a music director serve the same parish for 50 years,”
explained Father Andrew Umberg, pastor of St. William. “When it
turns out he is an all-round great guy, it is a miracle.”

The community plans to honor Allen with a celebration scheduled
for Friday, Feb. 18
