More Christmas for Late Summer

September 18, 2025 by Tom Council Leave a Comment

Dormi, Dormi, O Bel Bambin is a traditional Italian Christmas carol and lullaby, popular in Corsica  The song is often interpreted as a cradle song sung by the Virgin May to the Christ Child , asking him to “Sleep, sleep, Divine King, Close thine eyes my Treasure”. The song is widely recognized for its calming and comforting nature, making it a beloved part of Christmas traditions.  I was able to arrange this lovely carol for SSA with percussion.  It is sung here by Matthew Curtis.
