Missa Sangallensis – SATB Chorus, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones & organ

April 3, 2025 by Ivo Antognini Leave a Comment

I am overjoyed to announce that my Mass is now available on the website of the Japanese publisher ICOT. You can order the full score, but also the trumpet and trombone parts and the organ part. You can have the real score or you can also get it in digital format (PDF).

MISSA SANGALLENSIS

The Missa Sangallensis is the second mass commissioned from me by Andreas Gut, who is the Domkapellmeister of the Cathedral of St. Gallen.
It is a composition of medium difficulty where the choir is supported by the organ and brass instruments in the performance.
A solo soprano is required in some parts of this composition that begins with a very intimate Kyrie, followed by a joyful Gloria.
During the Credo the trumpets and trombones don’t play. The Sanctus and Benedictus joined to form a single piece.
The composition concludes with an Agnus Dei that has a rather reassuring character.
