Children’s Choir of teh Internet (teh Choir), directed by me, Jack Senzig, has just released 6 Days of Minecraft on YouTube and the single on CD baby.
For those that don’t know me, I am a ChoralNet volunteer. I serve on the ChoralNet Committee and lead the ChoralNet Composers of Choral Music and Choral Leaders of Elementary School Children communities here. Please use the Facebook “Like” and other community buttons above this announcement to help me spread the word.
It is my goal to find new and inovative ways to promote and fund school and community music programs. Follow me as I take this journey.

This is a choir I started last summer and made the real world recording parts as part of three week session. The kids recorded tracks for the band Cloud Cult’s new Album “LOVE.” which is available in pre-release from the bands website. Teh Choir also recorded a video in memory of the tsunami in Japan due out later this year, and this video for the game Minecraft. Vocally this video leaves a lot to be desired. The kids did such a good job smiling and staying upbeat dispite a long filming session, that they forgot to enunciate. I think their lips were tired. I am very proud of them!
I am sharing this because I love ChoralNet and I love our profession. I have met so many fine musicians with choirs of great talent and beauty. If I can do this sort of thing with my level of skills, what could you true leaders of our art do if you put your mind to it? Choral music should be mainstream, not a niche. We all know the value singing in a choir can be for human beings. Let’s find ways to recruit members and fund our programs through new technologies and video presentations.
The only two choirs I have seen that really get this are PS 22 Chorus from New York and Australian Voices. Share with me videos of your choirs that you think are in this same vein. I would love to see what others are doing.
