March 10, 2011 by Richard Allen Roe Leave a Comment

President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the world-famous
Pyatnitsky Folk Choir on its 100th anniversary.

“The Choir, established by the prominent Russian folklorist
Mitrofan Pyatnitsky, has triumphed on the world’s most prestigious
venues and has done a great deal to popularize Russian culture
everywhere,” the President says in a congratulatory message.

The Pyatnitsky Choir will be marking its anniversary today with
a concert at Moscow’s Kremlin Palace.
