Mary Lynn Lightfoot Joins Choristers Guild as Founding Editor of Sing! Educational Choral Line

June 23, 2014 by Ellen Yost Leave a Comment

Mary Lynn Lightfoot has joined Choristers Guild as Founding Editor of the publisher’s new educational choral line, Sing! Distinctive Choral Music for Classroom, Concert and Festival.
2015 will mark the inaugural release of the Sing! line, which will be comprised of inspired choral works in a variety of styles and voicings to meet the general and seasonal needs of elementary, middle school and high school choirs.

Lightfoot was previously Executive Choral Editor for Heritage Music Press, the educational music division of The Lorenz Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to building and overseeing one of the most-respected catalogs in educational choral publishing, she is a noted composer, with over 260 published choral compositions, arrangements, and musicals, and is a sought-after guest conductor and clinician.

Choristers Guild is a major publisher of choral and handbell music, with specialties in sacred choral and handbell music and resources for children’s and youth choirs.  Founded in 1949, it is an international membership organization for directors of young singers in churches and church school settings. Sing! Edited by Mary Lynn Lightfoot represents a major expansion of Choristers Guild’s offerings for the educational market.
